Since 2020, owner Dr. Francisco Alvarez — a Texas A&M DVM born and raised in the Baytown area — has made it his mission to bring Highlands and surrounding communities the kind of high-quality veterinary care that was previously only available deeper in the Houston metro.
Our clinic handles the full spectrum of small animal medicine for dogs and cats: routine wellness exams, core and lifestyle vaccinations, professional dental cleanings, heartworm and parasite prevention, microchipping, nutritional counseling, soft tissue surgery, and geriatric care for senior pets. We also provide urgent care during business hours for injuries and illnesses that can't wait for a scheduled appointment.
With in-house digital radiology and ultrasound, our team can diagnose most conditions during your visit. Dr. Alvarez, Medical Director Dr. Schumacher, and Dr. Glass are available Monday through Friday 7:30 AM–5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM–2:00 PM. New patients from Highlands are always welcome.
